George Schiro has authored and managed two federal grants awarded by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) totaling more than $380,000. He has also served on many NIJ grant review panels and one grant concept proposal review panel. He is available to consult on forensic science and crime scene investigation related grants. He can assist you with applicable projects and provide input to guide you through the process.
George Schiro is a qualified forensic DNA lab auditor and assessor. He has functioned as a lead auditor, technical auditor, and technical expert in audits and assessments independently, for the National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC), and for Forensic Quality Services. He has participated in the audits or assessments of over 25 labs ranging in size from two to ninety employees. He is available to assess or audit your DNA lab using the latest version of the FBI Director's Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.
